FAQ

All dogs must be on a flea and tick prevention program. Please bring proof along with proof of vaccinations.
If your pet becomes ill during the daycare or boarding stay, we will contact you immediately. We will seek medical attention with our partner veterinarian clinics or with the major hospital (MSPCA) whichever is available sooner. After hours and on weekends, as needed, we will transport your dog to a 24-hour Veterinary Emergency Center (MSPCA)
Tails require a veterinarian certificate indicating proof of vaccinations for all pets requesting services
Please inform us immediately if your pet has any allergies or developed any recent allergies
Late pickups scheduled in advance will be charged a fee of $25 per hour up until 9:00 pm, Monday through Saturday, and 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. If a pet in our care is not picked up by closing and a late pickup is not scheduled, they will be transferred into boarding and charged the full 24-hour boarding rate.
Reservations are strongly recommended. We encourage you to call to make your pet’s reservation as soon as possible – especially if you will be going away during a holiday or school vacation week when we tend to be fully booked.
Our operation is dependent upon your attendance and prompt payments; therefore we kindly ask you to inform us, with 24 hours advanced notice, if your pet will not be needing their scheduled service. Failure to cancel within 24 hours (this includes a morning of cancellations and no shows) will result in a charge for that day’s service.
Standard drop-off times are; Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m., Saturday from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Unscheduled drop-ins for daycare and boarding are allowed on a first-come, first-serve basis only. Parents should call in prior to drop-off to inquire about available space as we are not able to accept any canine while at full capacity.

Many pet owners notice that their dog’s natural odor becomes more noticeable after boarding and daycare. Our Go Home Fresh service is a bath and brush out before departure, so your best friends smell fresh and clean when you take him/her home. The charge varies, depending upon the size of your pet and type of coat that must be brushed out.
All pets over the age of 6 months must be spayed or neutered to be enrolled at Tails and attend daycare/boarding. Pups younger than 6 months can attend while they are awaiting their procedure.
